This really is a charming piece of art. The complementary colors blend together beautifully as the sharp, focused stem of on of the California poppies (California's state flower) contrasts with the warm blur of the background. You can mount it or display it in an included stand carved from a wine barrel stave by the artist. Dimensions: 11"x14"
The beautifully contrasting colors are stunningly rendered on aluminum in this stylized photograph created by Chad Zalunardo. The detail of the endangered flower is exquisitely captured and the piece really "pops". You can mount it or display it in an included stand carved from a wine barrel stave by the artist. Dimensions: 8"x10"
Any one of our amazing supporters of the Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom Society will be thrilled with this one-of-a-kind photograph of the famous Checkerbloom. This vase doesn't even need flowers in it to be the center piece on the table. You’ll admire this unique hand-blown glass vase from artisan Dan Sloper any time you catch a glimpse of it. It is stunning in its detail and depth and as soon as you pick it up, you will notice the craftsmanship and weight of it.
The original image source for this giclée was an oil painting on canvas commissioned by the Deerfield Ranch Winery in 2004 for their new winery in Kenwood, California. The image depicts the view of Sonoma Mountain that inspired Robert Rex to sketch those two distinctive lines that became the winery's logo. This piece was donated by world-class Fred Parker. This incredible experience is a rare opportunity: Deerfield Ranch Winery does not typically offer barrel tastings to the public, let alone barrel tastings with the Winemaker. There’s no better opportunity than this to explore Deerfield’s extensive caves. You’ll go spelunking with the man himself, Robert Rex, as he climbs over barrels, finding the very best of them for you to taste.
Robert Rex is fond of saying that “Winemaking is 40% chemistry and 60% cooking.” Well if his wines are indicator, he must be a damn good cook. His wife, PJ, has picked up a thing or two as well over their 33 years of marriage. Now you can pick up a thing or two yourself as they host you at their beautiful home, the Deerfield Ranch, with stunning views of Sonoma Mountain, for an incredible culinary experience. Plus, you’ll get to eat all your hard work!
Join the Rexes for dinner at their beautiful home, the Deerfield Ranch, with stunning views of Sonoma Mountain, for an evening that you’ll never forget. Deerfield Ranch, with stunning views of Sonoma Mountain, boasts some of the most charming accommodations that Sonoma has to offer. Robert and PJ Rex began Deerfield Ranch as a bed and breakfast in the 1970, sharing their wines with visitors around the table. Since then, the winery has moved from the tiny horse barn they converted to the 23,000 square foot cave they built and a lot has changed, except for their legendary hospitality. During your two-night stay, Winemaker, Robert Rex, will be cooking you breakfast. You might even be lucky enough to enjoy the soufleé he’s fond of “whipping up” with a cup of espresso made from his own blend of coffee beans.
In memory of Walker a.k.a. Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, the beloved winery dog that walked over the hill by himself every day to greet guests visiting the winery. This noble and well-loved poodle would politely escort tasters from their car into the tasting room to be received by their host, and would then return to the parking lot to meet the next group. This delicious single-vineyard Cabernet from Scardamaglia Vineyard is almost as wonderful as the friendly visage of our dearly departed canine companion that adorns the bottle.
There are so many possibilities for a custom-labeled wine just for you: It can be a thank you gift for a client with your company’s name on it, a souvenir for guests attending your wedding, an exquisite house wine for your restaurant or store, or even a chance to live the dream and pour a bottle with your family’s name on it at the next dinner party.
This lot features the 2007 Meritage. This top-shelf Bordeaux blend is all sourced from a single vineyard, highlighting both the complexity only a blend can deliver and the terroir or this incredible Sonoma Valley vineyard. The 2007 harvest was the best vintage of the decade, and this lot of wine is the best of Deerfield’s Buy a Barrel program.

This lot features the 2013 White Rex, a sublime white wine blend that breaks all the rules. Like the Red Rex, it has all the best elements of each of its components and what's more, it’s greater than the sum of its parts. It has peach flavors from the Pinot Grigio, crisp apple from the Sauvignon Blanc, that certain Chardonnay essence that everyone secretly loves, and a touch of off-dry from the Riesling.

This lot features the 2013 Chardonnay from Sobre Vista Vineyard. The Sobre Vista Vineyard, nestled on a Sonoma Valley hillside in Glen Ellen, was first planted in 1873. It is an exceptional terroir for Chardonnay. Deerfield's winemaking techniques accentuate complexity and mouth feel, so the 2013 Chardonnay will pair with seafood and vegetarian fare.
Three cases of three exceptional wines, supporting three great causes. The Cove Cuveé was created to raise awareness of those helping protect dolphins and marine life. The Checkerbloom Rosé’s proceeds are donated to the Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom Society to fund the restoration efforts. The grapes for Deerfield’s Estate Syrah are grown in our organic and biodynamic vineyard using water that Deerfield recycles onsite, and is a shining example of sustainable viticulture and winemaking. This collection is something everyone can get behind.
Meritage means Bordeaux Blend. These flagship wines are perhaps the most sophisticated that Deerfield has to offer. All of the wines in this rare vertical are Mertiage blends. The twist is that the DRX wines are “barrel blends”, created by selecting the very best barrels in the cave to blend together, whereas the wines called “Meritage” are all single-vineyard blends, showcasing terroir. This six-bottle vertical is incredibly rare due to the scarcity of certain vintages. This is, quite possibly, the last time such a collection can be assembled. The starting bid price is a staggeringly good opportunity for the savvy collector.
